Oscars Red Carpet Round-up

The 84th Annual Academy Awards aired on Sunday night. A night dedicated to the movies? Perfection. Not only was Billy Crystal on his game this year, the fashion was superb as well. What girl doesn't love sitting at home in her sweatpants seeing all these phenomenal gowns on the red carpet? Here is a list of my top 5 favorite looks of the night:

1. Michelle Williams

Williams, best actress nominee for her role in

I am living for this Louis Vuitton dress. Michelle Williams, in my opinion, was by far the best dressed of the night. The dress was feminine, classy and compliment Michelle fantastically. The tiny sparkling bow by her waist was an adorable touch. I happen to love bows, which is probably what helped this dress become my favorite. This dress was the perfect choice for Michelle, she should dye the rest of her wardrobe this color because it was obviously made for her.

2. Jessica Chastain

When Jessica came on screen, this dress made me gasp. It is flawless. It looks like someone put an incredible golden chandelier on a already perfect black dress. It looked more like a work of art than a gown. This embroidered Alexander McQueen dress is sure to be listed on every best dressed list that comes out.

3. Kristen Wiig

Kristen Wiig at the 2012 Oscars

Being a huge fan of everything and anything SNL I was so happy to see Kristen Wiig at the awards this year. Way to step it up Kristen! This look is so much better than the atrocious choker she wore to the SAG Awards. While her dress may not have been as flashy as the others I found this J. Mendel dress to be completely ethereal. Not only is she hilarious, but Kristen showed on Sunday that she can be quite the head turner as well.

4. Stacey Keibler

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler arrive on the red carpet for the 84th Annual Academy Awards

George may not have taken home an Oscar for Best Actor but he did not leave the awards show empty handed. Accompanied by his date, Stacey Keibler, I’m sure Clooney was the envy of most men on Sunday night. Keibler looked like a much sexier version of that coveted statue. Dressed in a gold Marchesa gown, Keibler simply glowed on the red carpet.
.
5. Rooney Mara

                           Rooney Mara

Being that this was her first Oscars appearance, Rooney Mara knocked it out of the park! She wore what seemed to be the big trend of the night, a fabulous white dress by Givenchy Couture. I couldn't help but think when I saw her, how amazing would Rooney Mara be as Snow White? With the multitude of Snow movies coming out this year (as mentioned in one of my previous articles) I am sure they could have found a place for this talented actress. Spare us another emotionless Kristen Stewart nightmare....

Finally I just have to say.....

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie shows leg on the Oscars Red Carpet

We get it Angelina, you’re sexy. But there is no need to show off. Keep it classy and stop sticking your leg out for everyone to see. You already got Brad Pitt, no need to rub the fact that you have perfect thighs in our face.

But, I did enjoy the impression of her done by Oscar winner Jim Rash. Well done Dean Pelton!!!!
